Underdogs began in Lisbon in 2010 as Vhils's platform for bringing international urban art into sustained public view. For this four-day collaboration, his excavated human face meets Pixel Pancho's corroding mechanical body, an android holding a derelict boat. Read together, the methods stage two kinds of decay on one wall: Vhils removes material to retrieve a person from the building, while Pixel Pancho adds a machine already falling apart, setting human memory against the promise that machinery can outlast it.
