On the Serra de Leomil ridge in Moimenta da Beira, Vhils wrapped a roughly 100-metre wind turbine tower in a black-and-white vinyl graphic (3M Scotchcal) combining local tree-bark textures with a surveying human eye, commissioned by Ancora Wind Energia Eólica SA. The piece adapted his visual vocabulary — usually built by subtraction — to an applied graphic skin on an industrial structure whose scale reset the relationship between artwork and territory. Joana Vasconcelos wrapped a neighbouring turbine, 'Gone with the Wind,' in the same 2016 project, extending Vhils' engagement with place into renewable-energy infrastructure.
