Herança brings together two distinct material languages around a shared reflection on memory, migration and identity. Vhils’ screen-printed portrait provides the work’s structural ground, while Joana Vasconcelos intervenes through feathers, embroidery and textile elements associated with domestic knowledge and traditions often transmitted by women. The encounter moves between the industrial and the handmade, allowing a collective history to emerge through the tension between both gestures.
