Honrar quem trabalha (Honouring those who work) is a large glazed-tile panel on the facade of Amadora City Hall, made of more than 4,000 tiles produced with Viúva Lamego. Unveiled in April 2024 for the 50th anniversary of the 25 April Revolution, it recreates a photograph by Alfredo Cunha of a worker from Sorefame — the Amadora railway-car factory — wrapped in a flag during a union demonstration in Lisbon in August 1975. The work is a tribute both to the photographer and to the working history of the city, translating a documentary image of the revolutionary period into the traditional material of Portuguese architecture.
