Estrutura stands at the official residence of the Portuguese Prime Minister in Lisbon, installed in April 2017 for the 43rd anniversary of the Carnation Revolution, and translates the legacy of 25 April into a concrete sculptural form. Its presence within a site associated with political authority establishes a direct relationship between contemporary artistic practice and the democratic transformation initiated in 1974. The work does not illustrate the Revolution through a historic image; it approaches it as something still under construction: a structure shaped by collective action, civic responsibility and the need to continually renew the freedoms it made possible.
