An avid experimentalist, Vhils has become known for his journeys of exploration into innovative territories of creation. While part of his cutting-edge research and development work gives rise to new bodies of work, some of it only sees the light of day in the form of one-off, site-specific works produced within the scope of a particular event, project or commission, and which are usually connected with the space and the concept present in the context in which they have been displayed. As such, they are hard to gather under a particular body of work and, in some ways, form a special category of their own.
