Nothing Lasts Forever is a 2008 series of hand-finished screen prints, published by the artist under this title on the Prints page of his early cargocollective.com portfolio. Each sheet carries the same nocturnal metropolis collage — an antenna-crowned high-rise skyline with an illuminated Samsung billboard, two children walking through the scene, and a tangle of roots erupting beneath them — over which hand-applied ink washes and drips make every impression a different colourway, from green and copper to sepia, grey-blue and orange. Date-stamped studio photographs from May and June 2008 document the freshly worked sheets drying on the paint-spattered studio floor.
