A series of portrait heads on paper in deep ultramarine and cobalt washes, the faces dissolving into drips and bleached-out passages. 'Unknown Faces' is the artist's own series title: it appears on his May-2008 site menu in the 2007 year section, again as a project on the 2009 site generation, and in the Paper section of the 2013 site — one of the finished early paper series he kept presenting, alongside the published 2008 siblings Unknown Icons and Nothing Lasts Forever. Individual sheets are untitled. The 2013 site grouped the set under 2009, while the artist's own 2008 menu places the series' origin in 2007; sheets may span 2007–2009.
