Ignition is a slow-motion detonation film shot in Setúbal, Portugal — a pyrotechnic charge carving its image into the surface in a burst lasting a fraction of a second. The work was presented in the Detritus section of Threshold, Vhils's inaugural exhibition at Eterno Gallery in Marvila, Lisbon (30 May – 15 August 2025), and released by the gallery as a phygital edition of 90 + 10 AP — a detonation film paired with an ETH-chain NFT, the physical edition looping on an Infinite Objects screen. In June 2026 the work returned in 'Ignition & Rust Belt', the artist's installation with Boldtron in Parallel Terrains at Eterno's section of NonFungible Conference Lisbon.
