A portrait of David Grutman, the Miami hospitality entrepreneur, commissioned in 2022 and developed in the artist's torn-poster language. The bearded likeness surfaces in red halftone through accumulated strata of salvaged advertising posters, the upper layers cut and torn away so that fragments of printed colour, lettering and pattern break through a field of white paper. Studio documentation records the composition across two design rounds, each captured in progressive states of excavation.
