Empty Faces (Old Man Portrait, 2007)

An elderly male face with deeply carved shadow features emerging from pale, cream-white poster strata, coloured poster fragments at the torn margins, photographed cut out on white with a Barbot paint tin at its base. From the artist's own 2008-era site (Gen A folder 'Empty Faces'; photos dated 15–17 September 2007 by his own filenames). Physically distinct from every other Empty Faces record in the archive; the Portuguese Barbot paint brand and poster fragments ground the country.
