On 23 February 2015, Vhils made this mural for O Bairro i o Mundo, a programme that began in 2014 as part of the ongoing transformation of Quinta do Mocho into an open-air public art programme. Developed in dialogue with a neighbourhood long affected by social stigma, the intervention contributes to a wider initiative that places residents and their stories at the centre of the district's public identity. The mural is not an isolated artwork; the project participates in a collective process through which art becomes a vehicle for visibility, belonging and urban regeneration.
