Meeting of Styles Buenos Aires 2011 — Walls work, 2011, Buenos Aires, Argentina

More than 130 artists from fourteen countries took part in the first edition of Meeting of Styles Buenos Aires, marking Argentina's entry into one of the world's longest-running international urban art festivals. Under the theme One World, One People, the event turned bridges, public squares and infrastructure across the city into a temporary network of interventions. Vhils created an ephemeral painted and carved wall beneath the viaduct at the intersection of Avenida del Libertador and Avenida Dorrego, in Palermo. The wall has since been destroyed. Its inclusion in this founding edition marks an early expansion of Vhils' practice across Latin America and his growing engagement with international festival platforms.
