NEXUS — XXIV Bienal Internacional de Arte de Cerveira

NEXUS is a site-specific installation created for the XXIV Cerveira International Art Biennial, Portugal’s oldest, held in 2026 under the theme “Territórios sem Fronteira” (Borderless Territories). A wall is broken open to reveal a passage framed by mirrored surfaces: moving through it, visitors encounter their own reflection, multiplied across a sequence of broken openings and infinite reflections. Drawing on the image of a fractured threshold, the work considers migration not as a singular event but as an enduring condition of human experience — identity continuously shaped by movement, distance and change. Part of the group exhibition “¿De qué casa eres?” (46 artists from 16 countries), on view until 30 December 2026.
