Fragments Urbains was a solo exhibition at Le Centquatre-Paris, in Paris, in 2018. Vhils carved into layers of material discarded by the city, bringing to the surface traces of what speaks to human presence in contemporary global cities. The work addressed how the dominant model of globalised development and the nature of contemporary urban societies have impacted the planet, shaping identities and generating cultural homogenisation.
